Explore Nairobi City

In just one century, Kenya’s capital city has transformed from a brackish, deserted swampland to a flourishing, contemporary metropolis. The contemporary world has fast caught up to Nairobi, which is still Africa’s premier safari destination. Nairobi is no longer a border town; it is now one of the biggest and most intriguing cities in Africa. The city of Nairobi never seems to slumber. The entire town is vibrant and filled with unbounded energy. It is here that one may find all forms of human life.

This is a land of striking contrasts, where ethnicity, tribe, and place of origin all contribute to the distinctive character of Nairobi. The city still has a strong feeling of its history, and both an outstanding museum and the former residence of Out of Africa author Karen Blixen are available to tourists.

The vast wildness that surrounds this contemporary capital does not cut it off from nature. Nairobi National Park, 113 sq km of plains, cliffs, and woodland, is located just outside the city. Large herds of zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, giraffe, and other animals may be found in the park. Within 20 minutes of the center of town, one may see wild Rhino, Cheetah, and many Lions here.
