Rwenzori Mountains National Park

The third-highest peak in Africa is located inside the Rwenzori Mountains National Park, which spans an area of almost 100,000 acres in western Uganda (Mount Margherita: 5,109 m).

It is one of Africa’s most magnificent alpine environments due to the glaciers, waterfalls, and lakes in the area. The park is home to several natural habitats for threatened and endangered animals, as well as a diverse and rare flora that includes, among other things, the enormous heather.
